At our weekly competitions, we encourage athletes to participate in all available events. This gives them the best chance to improve across a range of disciplines and earn strong percentage scores based on how their results compare to club records. These scores contribute to season rankings and help track personal progress.
For Country and State Championships, we recommend athletes choose events they enjoy most and feel most competitive in. Depending on their age group, athletes can nominate for 6 to 8 events. However, it’s important to consider the physical demands—competing in the maximum number of events, especially with heats and finals, can be tiring for younger athletes. If they’re fatigued by the time their favourite event comes around, they may not perform at their best.
The Country Championships also serve as a qualifying opportunity for the State Championships, where athletes can aim to meet the required standards for entry.
